Waterproof outdoor rug, or indoor flat weave rug – the Tibba rug is a characterful handloom woven rug, made entirely from recycled plastic bottles.
Available in Fern green, Midnight monochrome (black & off-white) and neutral Sand colours.
The design and texture reflect like the surface of the sea and underwater reefs. These recycled plastic water rugs, which act beautifully as waterproof outdoor and indoor rugs provide good thermal insulation and effective sound absorption.
The recycled fibres are UV and water-resistant.

UK Shipping
Shipping your order within the UK is charged at a flat rate of £5.95. If you spend more than £100, shipping is free! Note, furniture, and bulky or fragile orders may have have an additional shipping charge, and not be covered by free shipping.

The delivery method varies, depending on the product and quantity you buy.
International Shipping
If you’d like something delivered outside the UK, do drop a line here and we’ll arrange this for you.
A flat rate shipping cost will show on checkout. However, large or delicate orders will incur an extra shipping cost after you place your order. You’ll have the right to cancel your order at that point, if you’re not happy with the additional cost.
The flat rate generally applies to lighter items and are as follows:

North America: £25

Your order will be sent directly by Claire Gaudion (who receive your name and address), as instructed by Chalk & Moss.

About the Designer
Growing up in Guernsey, Claire was surrounded by nature’s colours and textures. Being introduced to natural textile design and production from a young age, she fell in love with the way materials and colours impact how we feel, while enriching our daily experiences. Claire studied design at the London College of Fashion, part of University of Arts London.
Based in Hampshire, UK, Claire Gaudion textile design studio specialises in creating high quality contemporary rugs and artisan fabrics for interiors. Since 2013, they have been committed to the artisans, and their communities, who help them create their woven textiles and handmade rugs. As part of Claire Gaudion’s mission, they want to support textile traditions, skills and craftsmanship so they can be passed on to future generations.
Design by Nature
“Nature has always been my biggest inspiration. Observing its rhythms of light, shadows, colours, textures and scale, and understanding its effect on our wellbeing is something that I’m instinctively drawn to.” Claire Gaudion
Claire’s close relationship with nature lends itself to the exploration of Biophilic design. First popularised in America by biologist Edward O Wilson in the 1980’s, Biophilic design puts human connection to nature at its heart and advocates bringing nature and references to nature indoors to enhance our mood, behaviour and well-being. Claire is particularly interested in the research that shows how using a diversity of nature references and biomimicry – including colour, pattern and texture – have significant and important roles to play.
How Claire Gaudion products are made
Claire Gaudion rugs and textiles are made using a range of artisan weaving techniques, from traditional hand knotted rugs, to hand loom weaving and the more modern style of hand tufting.
