Kipuka is an eye-catching everyday silver and gold pendant inspired by volcanoes and lava. Made from recycled silver and 18ct gold plate, on a 30cm gold filled chain.


One size fits all.
H 1.2cm, W 0.8cm


The word Kipuka means an area of land that is surrounded by one or more recent lava flows.


This nature inspired gold and silver pendant is handmade by Emma Aitchison in London.

All pieces by Emma Aitchison are made to order for you, with a lead-time of 2-3 weeks. Items are shipped by recorded delivery. For non UK orders, please contact for a shipping quote.


As products are custom made for you, returns are not accepted unless faulty.

UK Shipping


Shipping your order within the UK is charged at a flat rate of £5.95. If you spend more than £100, shipping is free!


Please note that shipping for furniture must be calculated according to each order. So to avoid incurring an additional charge after you’ve made a purchase, I suggest contacting me first for an accurate quote on 


The delivery method varies, depending on the product and quantity you buy. 


International Shipping


If you’d like something delivered outside the UK, do drop a line here and we’ll arrange this for you.


A flat rate shipping cost will show on checkout. However, large or delicate orders will incur an extra shipping cost after you place your order. You’ll have the right to cancel your order at that point, if you’re not happy with the additional cost. 


The flat rate generally applies to lighter items and are as follows:

Mainland Europe: £12.95

North America: £25


Please drop us a line before you place your order on We’ll give you an accurate shipping cost (which could be less or more than the flat rate) and take you through the order if you’d like to go ahead, thus avoiding an additional charge post order.

About the Designer

Emma Aitchison

Based in London, designer Emma Aitchison creates nature inspired jewellery that raises awareness of climate change, and draws on the beauty of drastic weather patterns. Her collections of earrings, bangles, necklaces and rings include “Lava” and “Mountain”, where the pieces draw a beautiful link back to her inspiration. A perfect gift for someone who loves feeling the force of nature!

Each unique piece is handmade using a range of techniques, both old and new. Emma makes jewellery with a clear conscience, using sustainable processes and materials wherever possible. A large proportion of her materials are recycled, supporting longevity in design.

Emma is a proud member of the No Dirty Gold (NDG) campaign, which strives for mining to respect human rights and the environment. As a member of the Fairtrade Foundation, she uses Fairtrade gold and silver. All gemstones are lab created or ethically sourced.

Emma’s goal is to make ethical jewellery with fully sustainable methods.
